Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing All Set For 2016 Following Team Expansion
The Rahal Letteman Lanigan Racing Team head into the new Verizon IndyCar Series season looking to build on what was a breakthrough year for the outfit in 2015 which saw Graham Rahal challenging for the IndyCar title right until the end of the season.
At the time the one car team were punching above their weight competing against the four car teams of Penske and Ganassi however for 2016, Rahal have expanded their outfit with Indy Lights driver Spencer Pigot who will drive the No.16 Honda and will make his Verizon IndyCar Series debut next weekend at St Petersburg.
Team co-owner David Letterman will be a more regular figure in the IndyCar paddock this year following his retirement from the Late Show last year meaning that he has more time to work with the team that he co owns
Last season, Rahal took two victories at Fontana and at Mid Ohio and he goes into the 2016 season looking to build on what was an incredible year for him and the team in 2015. Rahal and Pigot will be hoping that they will be in a position to challenge for the championship and race wins in 2016.
