Construction Work Begins At The Honda Indy Toronto
Organizers of next months Honda Indy Toronto Verizon IndyCar Series race confirmed on Wednesday that construction of the circuit at Exhibition Place has begun.
While the series heads to the Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, in Toronto, the circuit has undergone a new layout with the pit-lane moved from the left to the right hand side of the circuit.
The organisers confirmed to Toronto news channel CP24 that the owners of the track and Verizon IndyCar officials will visit the site of the circuit to make sure that everything is running smoothly ahead of the race weekend which takes place from July 15-17. The circuit itself consists of 11 Turns and will completed in the coming weeks.
The race will be an extra special occasion for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe who did not compete here last year following his accident however it was the first race that he had been cleared to attend following the accident as it is his home circuit.
