It’s Just A Matter Of Building Up The Mileage
Chip Ganassi Racing joined the other teams at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday for the first Verizon IndyCar Series test at the Brick yard ahead of the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
Scott Dixon who finished the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg on the podium in third place felt the test was extremely beneficial to the team following the switch from Chevrolet to Honda power of the winter.
Dixon said that it is just a matter of the team completing as much mileage as possible and they were able to do that at the test as it helps them to gather valuable data aiding their transition from Chevrolet to Honda.
Round 2 of the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach takes place on April 10 where Ganassi and Dixon will be hoping for another strong performance following a great start to the season at St Pete.
