Giovinazzi Replaces Wehrlein For China
The Sauber F1 Team confirmed on Monday that Antonio Giovinazzi will once again replace the injured Pascal Wehrlein for this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit.
Giovinazzi, who is Ferrari’s reserve driver made his Formula One race debut with the Sauber F1 Team at the season opening Australian Grand Prix at the Albert Park circuit and showed impressive pace throughout the weekend.
Wehrlein is expected to return to the cockpit in time for either the Bahrain or Russian Grand Prix.
Monisha Keltenborn, the Sauber F1 Team Principal said last week that the outfit did not want to rush the German following unwarranted criticism from sections of the media.
