102 Starts With One Team, Kimball Has Learnt A Lot

This weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach marks Verizon IndyCar Series driver Charlie Kimball’s 102nd start with Chip Ganassi Racing.

Kimball began his career with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2011 and has worked alongside Graham Rahal, Tony Kanaan, Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti.

Kimball heads into this weekend’s race in 19th place in the points standings and is one of only two drivers in the current Verizon IndyCar Series to have made over 100 starts with one team.

The other driver to have made over 100 starts with one team is Marco Andretti who has 184 starts for Andretti Autosport, owned by his father former IndyCar Series driver Michael.

Kimball will be hoping that following a busy few weeks of testing since the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg that he can have a strong result in Long Beach to kick start his season following a tough race last time out.
