Vasser Exploring Other IndyCar Avenues
Former KVSH Racing team co-owner Jimmy Vasser will make his return to the Verizon IndyCar Series paddock at this weekend’s Toyota Grand Prix Of Long Beach for the first time since taking the decision to close down his team at the end of last season.
Vasser who ran Sebastian Bourdais last season is heading to Long Beach for a series of meetings and is hopeful of putting something together for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season.
Vasser has confirmed that he and business partner James ‘Sulli’ Sullivan have a clear vision about where they want to be in 2018.
It is possible that the pair could attempt to resurrect a deal with Carlin Motorsport for 2018 following their failed attempt to enter into a partnership for this season.
Vasser was delighted to see his old driver Bourdais take victory at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg as a lot of his old KVSH crew joined Dale Coyne Racing as did some of sponsors such as Geico.
It is not clear whether or not Vasser is interested in a one off entry for the 101st running of Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.
