Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon described the news of two tine Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso joining the line up for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil by saying:
This is going to be mega.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that Alonso will skip the Monaco Grand Prix to compete in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month in an Andretti Autosport prepared McLaren Honda.
Dixon who won the Indianapolis 500 in 2008 was one of many to voice their delight sbout Alonso and McLaren joining the entry list for the Indianapolis 500.
