Hildebrand Undergoes Surgery On Hand Injury
Ed Carpenter Racing’s JR Hildebrand underwent surgery to repair the broken bone in his left hand earlier this following his accident at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with Schmidt Peterson’s Mikhail Aleshin last weekend.
Hildebrand who sat out the Texas Motor Speedway test on Wednesday tweeted:
Surgery this afternoon with the great docs at Indiana Hand to Shoulder. Pissed that I’m missing the TX test, but ready to get this sorted.
It is not yet known whether Hildebrand who replaced Josef Newgarden in the No.21 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet will be fit enough to compete in next weekend’s Honda Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park.
