Verizon IndyCar Series driver Gabby Chaves was in action at Texas Motor Speedway on Wednesday as the series conducted an open test on reprofiled and repaved oval.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Chaves will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next month with the newly formed Harding Racing team driving the No.88 Chevrolet for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

The Colombian, who competed with Dale Coyne Racing in last year’s Indianapolis 500 took to Twitter from the Texas test to say:

First day on track with this beautiful brand new Dallara @IndyCar. Got to run some laps at speed at the end. Feels so good to be back!
