Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner believes that McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown and the Woking based outfit are mad to allow Fernando Alonso to compete in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.

Horner, speaking at Friday’s FIA team principal’s press conference at the Bahrain Grand Prix suggested that Brown needs to see a psychiatrist for allowing Alonso to compete at the Indianapolis 500.

Brown responded on Twitter with a photograph of Horner jumping into the Red Bull swimming pool wearing nothing but a superman cape saying:

Er.

.. sorry Christian, which of us needs to see a psychiatrist.

It was announced on Wednesday that Fernando Alonso will miss the Monaco Grand Prix next month to take part in the 101st running of Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Horner said that he and Red Bull would allow their drivers to miss a Grand Prix to compete in another category.
