Team Penske owner Roger Penske says that it is an honor to have the McLaren name back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

McLaren have returned to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time since 1971 and The Captain won the race with Mark Donohue in 1972 in partnership with McLaren. Penske said that he believes that team founder Bruce McLaren would be proud to see the McLaren name back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway competing in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next weekend.

Penske was speaking at a press conference with his five drivers and Rick Mears at the the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Fast Friday ahead of qualifying for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil this weekend.

McLaren have partnered with Andretti Autosport for the Month of May with Fernando Alonso driving the No.29 McLaren Honda Andretti.
