We Did Our Job
Harding Racing and Gabby Chaves showed on Sunday that they mean business, making their Verizon IndyCar Series race debut at the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil the Chevrolet powered outfit were aiming for a strong result.
The team which is led by Verizon IndyCar Series veteran Larry Curry delivered. Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Chevrolet started the race from 25th place and did a fantastic job in pit-road and to avoid the on track carnage.
The Indianapolis based team with Chaves behind the wheel secured a top ten finish eith the Colombian sending the race in ninth place.
Speaking following the race he stated:
I think we did our job. We took the race one lap at a time. We let the track and the conditions come to us and we dialed in the No. 88 Harding Racing Chevrolet car every stop. We had a heck of a stint there. I think we were one of the only cars being able to make moves out there and got into a solid top ten for our first go as a team.”
Harding Racing’s next Verizon IndyCar Series outing will be the Rainguard Water Sealers 600 at Texas Motor Speedway next month.
