I Have Total Confidence In The No.83 Crew For The Race Today
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Charlie Kimball in the No.83 Tresiba® Honda took his first Verizon IndyCar Series career pole position and the Californian is confident that the team have given him a car he can win with in the Rainguard 600 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Kimball led a Chip Ganassi Racing front row lock out for the Rainguard 600 with series points leader Scott Dixon in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda starting the race from second place.
Kimball is currently in 19th place in the series standings on 132 points heading into tonight’s race in Texas. It was a great qualifying for Chip Ganassi Racing as the team managed to get all four cars into the top six for qualifying for the Rainguard 600. Charlie Kimball is on pole with Scott Dixon alongside him in second place.
Tony Kanaan in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda starts the race from fourth place while Max Chilton in the No.8 Gallagher Honda starts the race from sixth place.
Speaking on his official Facebook page, Charlie Kimball stated:
It’s race day! It was truly a team effort to get the pole yesterday, and I have total confidence in the 83 crew for the race today. Don’t miss any of the action from Texas Motor Speedway–tune in at 7 p.m. Central on NBC Sports Network! [Photo: IndyCar Series]
