Huge Wreck Takes Out Half The Field As Drivers Point The Finger At Kanaan
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe made his way from the back of the pack following a pitlane penalty to run up front before he was squeezed by Chip Ganassi Racing’s Tony Kanaan in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda causing a chain reaction taking out eight cars.
The crash took out Hinchcliffe his team mate Aleshin, Dale Coyne Racing’s Ed Jones, Tristan Vautier, Ryan Hunter Reay, Ed Carpenter and the AJ Foyt Racing’s Carlos Munoz.
All drivers involved in the crash which is under review by IndyCar are ok.
Aleshin described the crash as dumb and stupid due to some stupid guys.
The race is currently under red flag.
