The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to the permanent circuit at Road America for the Kohler Grand Prix this weekend following a somewhat controversial Rainguard Water Sealers 600 at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago.

It has been a busy time between races with Verizon IndyCar Series teams testing at Road America and Watkins Glen in the days following the race in Texas.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan along with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Mikhail Aleshin travelled to France for the LeMans 24 Hours but now it is time to get back to the day job.

It is going to be interesting to see if the Honda powered team’s can fight back in Road America following Will Power’s win at Texas Motor Speedway in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet.

Scott Dixon heads to the race at Road America with a 13 point lead over reigning series champion Simon Pagenaud as the Verizon IndyCar Series gets ready for the half of the season.

For Dixon, he will be hoping to challenge for victory after retiring from the race in Texas.
