The Honda Indy Toronto took place over weekend at Exhibition Place with Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden in the No.2 DevilBiss Chevrolet taking his second victory of the season, coming home just ahead of Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi with hometown favourite James Hinchcliffe picking up his second third place finish at home in a row.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda remains in the lead of the championship despite a rough race for the Iceman which saw him finish the event in 10th place after he was hit by Team Penske’s Will Power.

Dixon has seen his lead reduced to just three points as the series heads to the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.

Helio Castroneves is in second place in the series standings as Team Penske aim to secure their second series championship in a row following Simon Pagenaud’s win in 2016. Chip Ganassi Racing are aiming for their first championship win since returning to Honda power over the winter of 2016.
