Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon heads into the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series championship deciding GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma as one of the contenders for the coveted Astor Cup.

The Iceman, a four time Verizon IndyCar Series champion has been extremely consistent this season. Despite just one victory this season at Road America the New Zealander finds himself just three points behind series leader Josef Newgarden.

Dixon has secured seven podium finishes including his win at Road America and has one Verizon P1 Award which came for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in May.

Dixon has 41 career victories in the Verizon IndyCar Series and is one of the most experienced drivers on the current grid.

The New Zealander has a great crew around him in the No.9 NTT DATA Honda such as his chief strategist, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Managing Director Mike Hull, enginner Kate Gunlach and his spotter Robbie Fast to name but a few.
