Zach Veach who made his Verizon IndyCar Series debut with AJ Foyt Racing at the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in May will according to reports in the US be a full time Verizon IndyCar Series driver in 2018.

It has been reported that Andretti Autosport will announce on Friday ahead of Sunday’s 2017 season finale GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma that Veach has signed a multi-year contract to drive for Michael Andretti’s team.

If the deal is confirmed on Friday that would trigger another domino to fall in the Verizon IndyCar Series driver market as it is expected that Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato will drive a second full-time Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing entry in 2018 partnering Graham Rahal.

Paddock Eye understands that Tony Kanaan is also close to announcing his plans for 2018 which would see him join AJ Foyt Racing on a two year contract.
