Hamilton Wins Chaotic Singapore Grand Prix
Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Lewis Hamilton took victory in a chaotic Singapore Grand Prix, his seventh win of the season following a chaotic race under lights.
Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo finished the race in second while Valtteri Bottas completed the podium.
It was a fantastic day for Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz as he recorded his best result to date as he came home in fourth place. Sergio Perez was fifth for Force India.
It was a great day for Jolyon Palmer and Renault as he finished the race in sixth place just ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne in the sole McLaren.
Lance Stroll finished the race in eighth place for Williams Martini Racing just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Romain Grosjean.
Esteban Ocon rounded out the top ten for Force India. Felipe Massa finished 11th just ahead of Pascal Wehrlein.
The was drama right at the start of the race as Max Verstappen collided with Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel at the start of the race causing the trio to retire from the race. Fernando Alonso was also caught up in the accident and retired later in the event.
Marcus Ericsson and Daniil Kvyat were also forced to retire.
Lewis Hamilton now takes a 28 point lead in the championship meaning he will leave the next race in Malaysia next time out in the championship lead.
