One Sponsor In NASCAR Paid $660,000 Per Race, Enough To Sponsor A Two Car Full-Time IndyCar Programme
Farmers Insurance paid Hendrick Motorsports $660,000 per race to run as primary sponsor for one NASCAR season.
Paddock Eye crunched the numbers and over the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule of 17 races that translates to $11,220,000.
It costs roughly $5,000,000 per season to run a car in the Verizon IndyCar Series meaning that you could comfortably run a two car team full-time in the Verizon IndyCar Series for that money and you would have money to spare.
Verizon IndyCar Series driver Graham Rahal tweeted on Monday
For the amount they paid, they could sponsor 2 @indycar full time. Unreal.
