Carlin Closer Than Ever To Entering IndyCar
Carlin Racing team owner Trevor Carlin has revealed he is closer than ever to entering the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2018.
Carlin who have been extremely successful in the Indy Lights championship presented by Cooper Tires having won the title with Max Chilton in 2015 and again in 2016 with Ed Jones.
Speaking to IndyCar.com, Carlin said that he always enters a series he wants to stay in it. The Englishman said that they haven’t had the right time but that it is fast approaching for that moment.
The Verizon IndyCar Series will introduce universe aero kits in 2018 which will be cheaper for teams.
It may also be a good time for Carlin to enter the series following the news on Wednesday that Chip Ganassi Racing are downsizing to two cars in 2018.
Carlin said that he feels the time is perfect to enter the Verizon IndyCar Series with the introduction of the new aero kit.
It is believed that if Carlin do enter the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2018 they will have Max Chilton and Charlie Kimball in their cars.
