Wilson Joins Andretti For The Indianapolis 500

Andretti Autosport announced on Wednesday that Stefan Wilson will return to the team for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in 2018.

Wilson, the younger brother of Justin Wilson returns to Andretti having competed in 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil with KV Racing alongside Sebastian Bourdais.

Speaking about the news, Wilson who will drive the No.26 Indiana Donor Network/Driven To Save Lives Honda he said:

“I’m very excited to be officially joining the Andretti Autosport team for the 102nd Indy 500. “It has been a roller-coaster ride to get here, but when looking back, I’m really pleased and feel very fortunate to be in the spot I’m in now. I’ve just kept thinking about the future, knowing that I’d be joining one of the most successful teams in Indy.”   

Wilson joins Ryan Hunter Reay, Marco Andretti, Alexander Rossi and Zach Veach at the team for the month of May and speaking about the news, team owner Michael Andretti commented by saying:

“I’m very excited to be officially joining the Andretti Autosport team for the 102nd Indy 500,” said Wilson. “It has been a roller-coaster ride to get here, but when looking back, I’m really pleased and feel very fortunate to be in the spot I’m in now.
