Verizon IndyCar Series driver Charlie Kimball says he wants to go to a team next season that will allow him to grow and develop as a driver.

Kimball has been left searching for a drive for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season after Chip Ganassi Racing announced they were down-sizing from four to just two cars for next season.

Speaking to IndyCar.com, Kimball said that he feels change is good and that he wants to go somewhere where he grow and develop as a driver. The Californian native has been linked with a move alongside Chip Ganassi Racing team mate Max Chilton to Carlin Racing who are set to make the step up from the Indy Lights championship to the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2018.

Carlin Racing are part owned by Max Chilton’s father who it is believed has played a key role in Carlin making the move to the Verizon IndyCar Series.

Kimball finished the 2017 season in 17th place in the series standings.
