F1 Driver Intros A Poor Copy Of The Indy 500
McLaren Honda’s Fernando Alonso has labelled Formula One’s driver introductions at the United States Grand Prix on Sunday as a poor attempt to copy the Indianapolis 500 driver introductions.
Formula One trialled a one off driver introduction with boxing announcer Michael Buffer introducing the drivers to the fans.
Speaking following the race in Austin which saw Alonso retire with an engine failure the two time Formula One champion said in a way it was similar with the same result referring to his retirement from the race.
Alonso went on to say that the only thing that wasn’t similar to his last time racing in the US were the driver introductions which he said were a poor copy.
