IndyCar Has Done A Good Job With The New Aerokit

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe says that the Verizon IndyCar Series has done a good job on getting the balance right with the new universal aero-kit which will be introduced for the 2018 season onwards.

The Mayor of HinchTown who last week signed a multi-year contract extension at Schmidt Peterson Motorsports has been extremely busy this week.

The Oakville native joined Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this week to conduct some valuable testing of the Honda oval specification aero-kit. The pair moved on from Texas to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Thursday, new Chip Ganassi Racing signing, 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series rookie of the year Ed Jones who watched the action on track and who get his first run in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda in January.

Speaking following the test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Mayor of HinchTown said:

IndyCar has done such a good job getting the balance right & getting the down-force level correct.
