We Are Considering All Drivers Who Are Not Contracted For 2018
Williams Martini Racing’s Chief Technical Officer Paddy Lowe has confirmed that the Grove based outfit are looking at all drivers who are not contracted for the seat alongside Lance Stroll in 2018.
Speaking about Kvyat who was dropped by Red Bull in recent weeks Lowe said that he is a respectable driver and is one of many drivers who is being considered for the second seat.
Williams test and reserve driver Paul Di Resta and former Renault F1 driver Robert Kubica conducted private tests for the Grove based outfit last month in Hungary and Silverstone as the pair were evaluated for a possible seat alongside Stroll for next season.
DiResta drove in the Hungarian Grand Prix earlier this season in place of the unwell Felipe Massa and was impressive.
Veteran Felipe Massa is not out of the running to retain his seat next season. The Brazilian is currently being outperformed by his rookie team mate Lance Stroll who is in tenth place in championship, 4 points ahead of the Brazilian.
Stroll scored his first Formula One podium finish at the European Grand Prix at the Baku street circuit earlier this season when he finished the event in third place.
