Ganassi Won’t Run Four Cars At Indy
Chip Ganassi has confirmed that he will not run four cars at the 2018 Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next May amid suggestions that Kyle Larson may be added to Ganassi’s line-up.
Larson who is good friends with Danica Patrick has expressed interest in running the Indianapolis 500 at some point but Ganassi is just focusing on what is happening with Patrick at the moment.
Ganassi believes that it is better for Patrick to run both the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 with one team.
The only other Verizon IndyCar Series team that have a NASCAR programme is Team Penske with Roger Penske confirming that he would not be running Patrick at Indy but wished her well.
Chip Ganassi Racing will be running two full-time cars in the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2018 with Scott Dixon being joined at the team by 2017 rookie of the year Ed Jones who has joined the outfit from Dale Coyne Racing.
