Having Experienced Drivers Will Help Carlin Get Up To Speed
Carlin Racing’s announcement on Tuesday that they will enter the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2018 with two cars having signed Charlie Kimball and Max Chilton for the upcoming season.
Chilton and Kimball have over 100 races under their belts and will experienced team members around them with numerous staff members from up and down the IndyCar Paddock moving to Carlin.
Chilton and Kimball have both driven for Carlin Racing in junior categories while racing in Europe so they know how the team operates.
As to the news that Carlin’s IndyCar operation will run out of their existing US base in Florid, team owner Trevor Carlin feels that this will not be a problem with his team having experienced drivers.
Carlin, like their rivals will soon take delivery of the new 2018 aero kits with pre-season testing getting underway in January.
Carlin Racing join Team Penske, Ed Carpenter Racing, AJ Foyt Racing, Harding Racing and Juncos Racing in the Chevrolet stable.
