Citroen Racing Kris Meeke says that the team need be more consistent in 2018 in order to mount a title challenge in the World Rally Championship.

Meeke took a memorable victory in Mexico in 2017 as well as victory in Spain and nearly took the win in Corsica.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC Arena, the Northern Irishman said that he hopes the team can mount a challenge in Corsica again and knock out the mistakes that blotted their copy book in 2017.

Meeke is also looking forward to Rally Finland and also the opening event in Monte Carlo.

The team will head to Monte Carlo next week for a pre-event test and before the event in two weeks time.

When asked by Paddock Eye, if he gets home much during the season to do a bit of rallying at home, Meeke said that he doesn’t due to the 13 event WRC schedule and all the travelling.

Meeke said that any events he does outside of the WRC are done with Citroen but that he has plenty of toys at home.
