The 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season gets underway in just over an hours time with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg and as Scott Dixon prepares to start his 18th season in the series, 17 of which have been with Chip Ganassi Racing, one man is also getting ready for the new season.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Managing Director Mike Hull who serves as the Iceman’s race engineer is set to start his 26th season in the Verizon IndyCar Series and his 16th with Dixon.

The Hull/Dixon partnership has been one of the most successful in Verizon IndyCar Series history and as the New Zealander gets ready to set off from ninth place on the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg grid Hull knows how to get his driver to the front of the field.

The pairs relationship dates back to the opening race of the 2003 Verizon IndyCar Series season and has been extremely fruitful with the pair winning 40 races together including the 2008 Indianapolis 500.

The pair will be hoping for more success in 2018 starting with today’s Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
