Indianapolis Motor Speedway Getting Ready For A Busy Week As Preparations For The Indy 500 Begin

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is gearing up for an extremely busy time next week as testing gets underway for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Testing begins at the Brickyard on Friday as the Honda and Chevrolet powered teams get to take part in a manufacturer day of testing at the speedway. Taking part on Friday will be Marco Andretti, Sebastien Bourdais, Ed Carpenter, Helio Castroneves, Gabby Chaves,Max Chilton, Scott Dixon, Jack Harvey, James Hinchcliffe, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Ed Jones, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball, Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud, Spencer Pigot, Will Power, Graham Rahal, Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato, Zach Veach.

Fans will get the opportunity to join the sport at the test with the circuit open to the public. The test will also be broadcast on http://racecontrol.indycar.com and via the IndyCar youtube channel.

On Tuesday 27th March, Marco Andretti, Sebastien Bourdais, Ed Carpenter, Helio Castroneves, Gabby Chaves, Max Chilton, Scott Dixon, Jack Harvey, James Hinchcliffe, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Ed Jones, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball, Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud, Spencer Pigot, Will Power, Graham Rahal, Alexander Rossi, Takuma Sato, Zach Veach will all be action again with the sessions all being broadcast live and open to the public.

Wednesday 28th March will be a big day as rookie orientation takes place with four rookies, Pierto Fittipaldi, Mathues Leist, Robert Wickens and Kyle Kaiser all taking part while Danica Patrick will drive an IndyCar for the first time since 2011 when she gets behind the wheel of her No.13 GoDaddy.com Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet.

Thursday 29th March will see  Ed Carpenter, Gabby Chaves, Max Chilton, Scott Dixon, James Hinchcliffe, Ed Jones, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball, Matheus Leist, Danica Patrick, Spencer Pigot, Robert Wickens take part in the test.
