PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 Honda in the Verizon IndyCar Series says that it was not feasible for the series to adopt the Halo that Formula One have introduced from the 2018 season onwards.

Speaking during a segment with Mobil 1’s The Grid, the Iceman who trialed an aero-screen recently at ISM Raceway, the Verizon IndyCar Series answer to Halo said that the Halo would not work on oval tracks and the series have worked closely with PPG to come up with the aero screen.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen shared their thoughts on the Halo with Ricciardo saying that as long as it prevents serious injury or death he is happy with the Halo however Max Verstappen says he does not like the look of the device.
