Harding Racing’s Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Chevrolet is hoping that the work that the team have done on their road course chassis baseline set-up helps them to improve their performance at their home race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Chaves heads into this weekend’s race off the back of a 20th place finish last time out at Barber Motorsports Park.

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s on track action, Chaves commented by saying:

“We have been doing quite a lot of work trying to improve our road course baseline setup going into the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. “This week in preparation we’ve been at the simulator in order to create a more competitive package to work on at the track right out of the gate.”
Harding Racing consultant and driver coach, Al Unser Jr commented on the upcoming race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend saying:
I’m especially excited about this upcoming weekend with the Indy Grand Prix. “I feel that we have had a strong showing on the road courses, St. Pete, Long Beach and Birmingham. There have been things that are out of our control that have kept us out of the top-ten. At St. Pete we had a bad pit stop, Long Beach we had a bad pit stop and Birmingham we had a fogging issue in the helmet because of the rain. These are things that are simply out of our control. Hopefully we can get through the Grand Prix, have a good weekend and not have these big issues just pop out of thin air. If we can go there and execute like we know we can as a team, then we’re going to have a great race
