Dixon Aiming To Drink The Milk On Sunday, As It Would Be The Perfect Way To Celebrate His Anniversary
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon heads into Sunday’s 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil as hungry as ever for success. It is ten years since the Iceman won the Indianapolis 500 and he is well placed to fight for the win come Sunday afternoon at the Brickyard.
The four time Verizon IndyCar Series champion goes into the race with plenty of momentum having finished in second place at the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course earlier this month.
Dixon will start Sunday’s race from ninth place just behind Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves and Ed Carpenter Racing’s Danica Patrick.
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Managing Director Mike Hull said recently that Dixon wins the big races, like Watkins Glen and Indy. It would be the perfect well to celebrate the anniversary with another win at the 500, with Mike Hull and Robbie Fast to name but a few of Scott’s team he has all the ingredients to succeed again this year.
Watch out for the N.9 blue, white and orange PNC Bank Honda on Sunday.
