Patrick Is An Amazing Talent
Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves has described Ed Carpenter Racing’s Danica Patrick as an amazing talent and that her decision to retire from motorsport is courage and he feel that he would not be able to make the decision that she did.
Patrick will compete in her final race on Sunday as she takes the field for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil from seventh place on the grid. Patrick has not competed in IndyCar in seven years and has come back into the sport, making her way into the Firestone Fast Nine and has show great pace throughout the month of May.
Castronves himself is competing in the 102nd running running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil in the No.3 Pennzoil Chevrolet and will start the race from eight place just behind Patrick.
Patrick had an electrical issue on Carb Day but should be extremely quick in Sunday’s race. The green flag drops for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil at 12.12ET
