Four Podiums Including Two Wins, Dixon Shows Why He Is Always One To Watch
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda showed at the Texas Motor Speedway for the DXC Technology 600 why he is always one to watch as he scored his second win of the season dominating under the lights.
The Iceman secured his second win in a week following his victory in the opening race of the Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix presented by Lear double header last weekend.
Dixon also scored a second place finish at the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis and a third place finish in the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil and heads to the Kohler Grand Prix in two weeks at Road America with a 23 point lead in the championship.
Dixon is not taking anything for granted with the leads as the competition is extremely strong this year as it is getting more difficult to win races.
Chip Ganassi Racing’s managing director Mike Hull credited the great team work by the No.9 PNC Bank Honda crew, the wolf pack did a fantastic job on pitroad and the the strategy worked out perfectly for Dixon and the team.
