We Are Not Performing As A Team
McLaren CEO Zak Brown has admitted that the reason their car is not performing this season is because they are not performing as a team and that they have been slow to react to the issues they have been having.
The Woking based outfit have appointed Gil De Ferran as Sporting Director following the resignation on Wednesday of Racing Director Eric Boullier.
The team who have admitted there is no easy fix to their issues go into their home race, the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit in 6th place in the Constructors championship on 44 points.
Brown has also confirmed that the restructuring within the team has not finished yet with more changes expected in the coming weeks.
There were rumours on Thursday that McLaren had scrapped their plan to join IndyCar next season however Brown has denied this as the company shareholders continue to look into the possibility of diversifying their racing interests.
