Dixon And Ganassi Taking Nothing For Granted This Weekend
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda is taking nothing for granted heading into this weekend’s Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway.
The Iceman goes into the race with a 45 point advantage over Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay who is second in the championship.
Despite the cushion, Dixon and his No.9 PNC Bank Honda crew are going to do everything they can to ensure that they can get the maximum performance out of the car this weekend.
The Verizon IndyCar Series is extremely competitive in 2018 and one off weekend can provecto be costly and as the series settles into the second half of the season Chip Ganassi Racing are hoping they build on their recent momentum.
The team had a disappointing race here last year however in the previous oval events in 2018, Dixon has performed well which includes a win at Texas Motor Speedway last month.
Dixon’s No.9 PNC Bank Honda crew known as ‘The Wolf Pack’ have been great this season.
Speaking to Paddock Eye earlier this season Chip Ganassi Racing’s Managing Director Mike Hull said that Dixon and his crew find themselves in the position they are in now as a result of great team work from everyone within Chip Ganassi Racing.
