The No.5 Arrow Electronics Car Was A Rocket
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda say his car was a rocket on Sunday as the Canadian took his first win of the season in the Iowa Corn 300 at Iowa Speedway.
The Mayor of HinchTown beat off strong competition from Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot who took his first Verizon IndyCar Series podium while Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Takuma Sato came home in third place.
It was a Sunday of firsts for the top three. Hinch scored his first win of the season, Pigot took his first ever Verizon IndyCar Series podium and Sato took his first podium of the season.
Speaking following the race, the Mayor of HinchTown said that the Verizon IndyCar Series is not like Formula One, you can have a bad road and street course car and have a great oval car and still have a great season.
In Formula One however if you have bad car it is likely you are going to struggle at every track you go to.
Hinch now returns home to Canada for this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto where he has been on the podium in the last two races in a row a row here. The Mayor of HinchTown will be hoping it’s a case of third time lucky in 2018.
