Firestone Racing are bringing more than 1,300 race tires to this weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto in Canada. The construction and compound of the primary tire is the same as that used in the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.

The construction and compound of the alternate tire is the same as the street course events.

Each driver will receive:

  • Seven sets of the Primary tire
  • Four sets of the Alternate tire
  • Five sets of the Rain tire

Speaking ahead of the race this weekend, chief engineer with Firestone Racing, Cara Adams commented by saying:

Once again, the Firestone Race Engineering team is bringing race-proven primary and alternate tires to the Streets of Toronto. “These tires are the same specifications as used in all 2018 street course venues. Drivers typically prefer the primary tire at this iconic street course given the challenge of having both asphalt and concrete as part of the circuit.
