Dixon Leads Morning Warm Up As Daly Stars

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Verizon IndyCar Series points leader Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda set the pace in the morning warm up ahead of today’s Honda Indy Toronto.

The Iceman set a fastest time of 59.1394s ending the session just ahead of Toronto pole sitter Josef Newgarden in the No.1 Hitachi Chevrolet for Team Penske.

Ryan Hunter Reay was third fastest for n the No.28 DHL Honda ended the session just ahead of his team mate Marco Andretti in the No.98 Oberto Honda.

Graham Rahal in the No.15 Rosseau Metal Honda was fifth just ahead of Chip Ganassi Racing’s Ed Jones in the No.10 NTT DATA Honda.

The star of warmup however was Harding Racing’s Conor Daly in the No.88 Harding Group Chevrolet as he ended the session in seventh place with a time of 59.7888s.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Takuma Sato in the No.30 MiJack Panasonic Honda was eighth fastest just ahead of Simon Pagenaud in the No.22 DXC Technology Team Penske Chevrolet. AJ Foyt Racing’s Tony Kanaan in the No.14 ABC Supply Chevrolet rounded out the top ten with a time of 01:00.2212s.

Matheus Matt Leist in the sister No.4 ABC Supply Chevrolet for AJ Foyt Racing was 11th fastest just ahead of Ed Carpenter Racing’s Spencer Pigot in the No.21 Preferred Freezer Services Chevrolet.

Will Power in the No.12 Verizon Chevrolet was 13th for Team Penske just ahead of Carlin Racing’s Max Chilton in the No.59 Gallagher Chevrolet.

Zach Veach in the No.26 Relay Group One Thousand One Honda was 15th for Andretti Autosport just ahead of Juncos Racing’s Rene Binder.

Robert Wickens in the No.6 Lucas Oil Honda for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports was 17th just ahead of Carlin Racing’s Charlie Kimball in the No.23 NovoNordisk Diabetes Canada Chevrolet.

Sebastien Bourdais was 19th for Vasser Sullivan Racing just ahead of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports James Hinchcliffe in the No.5 Arrow Electronics Honda.

Alexander Rossi in the No.27 NAPA Auto Parts Honda was 21st for Andretti Autosport just ahead of Zachary Claman DeMelo in the No.19 Paysafe Honda for Dale Coyne Racing.

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Jordan King rounded out the order in 23rd place.
