Herta Happy With First IndyCar Test With Harding

Indy Lights driver Colton Herta was happy with how his first Verizon IndyCar Series test went with Harding Racing at Portland Raceway on Friday.

Herta, the son of Verizon IndyCar Series team co-owner Bryan Herta tweeted following Friday’s test to say:

You never forget your first time… too many people to thank in 120 characters!!! #ThanksEveryone

Herta went on to say:

I’m still in awe!! What a day!! Thank you @HardingRacing88@FirestoneRacing@TeamChevy

Herta who just turned 18 drives for Andretti Steinbrenner Racing in Indy Lights and has been linked with a move up to the Verizon IndyCar Series in a partnership between Harding Racing and Andretti Autosport.

Paddock Eye understands however that Harding Racing will in fact run an experienced driver alongside the experienced Gabby Chaves in 2019 with Conor Daly the front runner for the second seat.

Daly who has driven in the last two races for Harding Racing has been extremely impressive in Toronto and Mid Ohio last tine out.
