Douglas Motorsport’s Jamie Chadwick says that her victory in Brands Hatch this morning at the BRDC British Formula 3 championship race had nothing to with her gender and showed that it is possible to win regardless of gender.

Speaking to BBC Sport following her win, Chadwick said:

Today shows it’s possible [to win] and nothing to do with my gender,

It was Chadwick’s second podium finish of the season having scored a podium last time out in the season opening race at Oulton Park where she finished the race in third place.

Chadwick is now in eighth place in standings on 204 points just behind Carlin Racing’s Billy Monger.

The next three rounds of the season take place at Donington Park on September 22/23.
