Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon who drives the No.9 PNC Bank Honda says he is happy to be back in Oregon for this weekend’s Portland Grand Prix at Portland International Raceway.

The Iceman goes into the penultimate race of the season leading the Verizon IndyCar Series standings by 26 points from Andretti Autosport’s Alexander.

Dixon took to Twitter to say:

“It’s great to be back in this part of America and its great to hear how well the event has been received.”

Race organisers are expecting big crowds this weekendcand their advise to fans is arrive at the track early.

As it is Labor Day weekend traffic in the area wilp be heavycso plan your route before yiu leave.

Fans are also being advised to utilise public transport.
