Penske On The Brink Of Their 500th Victory

Team Penske are on the brink of their 500th motorsport victory following Brad Keselowski’s win in the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Monday.

Roger Penske becomes only the second team owner alongside Chip Ganassi to win both the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400 in the same year. Penske will be hoping that his outfit can close out the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season at Sonoma this weekend with victory.

Two of the Captain’s drivers, defending series champion Josef Newgarden and Indianapolis 500 Will Power are still mathematically in the race for the championship but need lady luck to be on their side this weekend.

In the Verizon IndyCar Series this season, Team Penske have taken six wins from 16 races with Josef Newgarden and Will Power on three wins a piece.

Simon Pagenaud who won the championship in 2016 will be hoping that he can take victory this weekend and delivery Roger Penske his 500th win.
