Ocon And Wehrlein Could Be In Line For IndyCar In 2019
Racing Point Force India F1 Team driver Esteban Ocon and former F1 driver Pascal Wehrlein Could be potential targets for teams in the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2019.
Paddock Eye understands that that Dale Coyne had approached Ocon about driving for the am alongside Sebastien Bourdais in 2019.
It is also understood that Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team co-owner Sam Schmidt is interested in both Ocon and Wehrlein to drive alongside James Hinchcliffe in the No.6 Lucas Oil Honda for 2019 as Robert Wickens recovers from the injuries he suffered during the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway last month.
Pascal Wehrlein has been out of drive since losing his seat at the Sauber F1 Team at the start of the 2017 season while Esteban Ocon is set to be replaced by Lance Stroll next year.
