It’s Been A Great Weekend!
Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen said it’s been a long time but here we are, as he took his first win in 113 Grand Prix at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit Of The Americas in Austin Texas.
It was a balancing act, we had a great battle and in the end it worked out.
The Iceman dominated the race having taken the lead off the line from pole sitter Lewis Hamilton from there Kimi never looked back as Ferrari executed a fantastic pitstop to give a Kimi the win.
Lewis Hamilton finished the race on podium in third place meaning the championship fight moves on to Mexico next weekend.
Sebastian Vettel finished the race in fourth place just ahead of Mercedes Valtteri Bottas.
It was a great race for the Renault Sport F1 Team as Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz finished the race in sixth and seventh place respectively while Racing Point Force India F1 Team’s Esteban Ocon finished in eighth place just ahead of the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen while Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez rounded out the top ten.
Toro Rosso’s Brendan Hartley came from the back of the grid to finish in eleventh just ahead of Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson.
Stoffel Vandoorne was 13th for McLaren just ahead of Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly.
Sergey Sirotkin was 15th for the Williams Martini Racing Team just ahead of team mate Lance Stroll.
There were four retirements with Charles Leclerc, Romain Grosjean, Fernando Alonso and Daniel Ricciardo all out of the race.
