Mari Hulman George Will Live On In The Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Verizon IndyCar Series team owner Bobby Rahal says that Hulman & Company and Indianapolis Motor Speedway Chairman of the Board Emeritus Mari Hulman George will live on in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Hulman George passed away last week at the age of 83 and was well known within motor racing having served as chairmwoman of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1988-2016. Mari was the daughter of Mary Hulman and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Tony Hulman.
As well as her love of motor racing, Mari also had a love of horses and animals and was involved in many charities in the Indiana area.
Mari Hulman George was laid to rest on Thursday, with the Verizon IndyCar Series community and other motorsports personalities coming together to remember one of the architects of what is the greatest spectacle in motor racing. Rest In Peace Mari!
