Bottas Leads The Way In FP2

Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team’s Valtteri Bottas set the pace in the second practice session ahead of Sunday’s penultimate race of the season, the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Finn set a fastest time of 01:08.846s ending the session just ahead of world champion Lewis Hamilton in the second Mercedes.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was third fastest just ahead of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.

Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari rounded out the top six ending the session 0.556s behind Bottas. Romain Grosjean was seventh fastest for the Haas F1 Team while it was a great session for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Charles Leclerc as he ended the session in eighth place just 1.097s behind Bottas.

Kevin Magnussen in the second Haas was ninth fastest while Esteban Ocon rounded out the top ten for the Racing Point Force India Formula One Team.

Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez was 11th in the second Racing Point Force India F1 car. Scuderia Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly was 12th fastest just ahead of McLaren Renault’s Fernando Alonso who gave up his seat to Lando Norris this morning.

Carlos Sainz was 14th fastest for the Renault Sport F1 Team just ahead of Marcus Ericsson’s Alfa Romeo Sauber C37.

Williams Martini Racing’s Sergey Sirotkin was 16th fastest just ahead of McLaren Renault’s Stoffel Vandoorne and Lance Stroll was 18th fastest just ahead of Toro Rosso’s Brendan Hartley while Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the order in 20th place.
