We Will See You Soon At The Racing Capital Of The World
The official Indianapolis Motor Speedway twitter account congratulated Fernando Alonso on his Formula One career on Sunday.
The double Formula One world champion will seek to claim motorsports triple crown in May.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway tweeted:
Congrats, @alo_oficial, on your fantastic @F1 career. We’ll see you soon at The Racing Capital of the World. #Indy500 #IsItMayYet
Alonso is not the only former F1 driver to attempt to qualify for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 as Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team’s Marcus Ericsson will make a full-time move to IndyCar in 2019 joining James Hinchcliffe at Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
